How Does Zing Marketplace Work?

What is an Online Marketplace?


An online marketplace is a website (or app), commonly called a platform which facilitates and brings together sellers and buyers in one handy location.

Hence Zing Marketplace is not an online store, but an online marketplace. We have a little of our own product, but ultimately, we provide a one stop shop for the private pop culture collector to sell their unique goods and connect with the right audience.


Who can advise me when buying items from your website?


The private pop culture seller would be the best person to answer your questions about a particular item. They are the experts, the specialists for all your questions about all things related to their products. For some advice on what to ask, check out our How to Buy page.


I'm looking for a specific item, how do I find that on Zing Marketplace?


You can type the specific name in the search bar or use the category search. The great part about Zing Marketplace is you never know what we might have as a listing, so check back often to see if what you are specifically looking for has been listed.


How are the prices set? Can I negotiate with you?


For all private pop culture seller listings, these prices are set by the private sellers and you can enquire about the flexibility of the price when you send an enquiry to them about their product.


What does enquiry mean?


At Zing Marketplace you will find on every product page on the right-hand side all information about private seller who offers the item. There is a contact field where you can ask questions to find out if the item is still in stock, ask about price or inform yourself about specific product details.


Do you have coupon promotions?


No, we do not currently offer coupon promotions.


How can I check if a product is in stock?


Our website should display if an item is out-of-stock and an approximate lead time for ordering.



Ordering

How does the ordering process work?


For private pop culture seller items, the ordering process will be worked out between you once you make contact.


What about shipping costs?


The shipping costs will depend on each individual seller.


Is there a minimum order?


No, no such thing!


I’m looking for something specific, but I cannot find it on Zing Marketplace. Can I still order it?


If it is not listed currently, it means our private pop culture sellers aren’t ready to part with it yet, but keep checking back! You never know when it will be listed and what previously undiscovered treasures can be found.


My order has not arrived, what do I do


For private pop culture seller items, please go back to the seller directly at first to enquire about the location of your product. If you still have trouble finding out about the status of your product’s delivery, please contact Zing Marketplace with the proof of contact you have had with the seller.



Shipping & Payment

How do you ship? How long does it take?


Shipping is organised directly with the private pop culture seller. Shipping from private pop culture sellers is up to their discretion.


How can I pay?


For private pop culture seller items we highly recommend you use PayPal to ensure you have some extra protection.


What kind of payment is safest?


All payment methods offered on Zing Marketplace are absolutely safe and secure. For any private transactions, we strongly recommend using PayPal.


Can I arrange a specific delivery date?


Ufortunately, no. Once the order has been fulfilled we have no influence on the delivery. Most delivery companies provide tracking numbers or a tracking service online with an estimated delivery time, hence this is a good way to see where your goods are at any one time.


My order is not coming, what can I do?


Firstly, check with the private pop culture seller when the order or product was sent. If it is already on the way, find out the delivery company and ask about a tracking number or online tracking service to locate your product.



Refunds

Return of Faulty products


Any faulty Product can and should be returned to the private pop culture seller from which it was purchased, with proof of purchase (paid in full email invoice receipt).

For any private pop culture seller purchases that were sent faulty or not as described, please contact the seller directly first. If you are unable to come to a resolution, then contact Zing Marketplace with the above details as well as proof of contact with the seller.


Change of mind


We are unable to offer guarantee on products or refunds for change of mind if bought via a private seller.


Exchanges


We advise all buyers to select and choose their product (including size and colour) carefully before buying, as an order to purchase creates a contract between the suyer and the private pop culture seller. It is absolutely possible to exchange or return a faulty product no problem.


Consumer Guarantee


If you believe an item is faulty, you may have rights to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. These rights are not impacted by the change of mind policy or limited by a defined time frame. However, the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period may vary by product (or service) depending on the nature of the goods (or service), the price paid and any representations made about the goods (or service).

If there is a major failure with the item, you may choose a refund, exchange or repair. If the failure is minor, we will repair the item (or, at our discretion, we may replace the item) within a reasonable time. Where an item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use, Zing will not provide a refund, exchange or repair. Zing will require satisfactory proof of purchase before providing a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

General

What can I list on Zing Marketplace?


If it is related to pop culture you can list it! From Pop! Vinyls to high end statues, single trading cards and even if you have a DeLorean sitting in your garage, we’d love to see what treasures you have to sell! We draw the line at sports and music memorabilia though, however, if you have a piece of movie or television history lying around why not give it a shot!

Each listing should be for the product advertised. If multiple products are in one listing, they must be listed as a bundle price. If a listing has multiple products with different prices in the description, the listing will be removed.

We will not accept anything deemed to be pornographic or gratuidous nudity. We also will not accept any handmade or fan art goods. If your listing is found during our review to go against this it will be removed.

All listings must be available to send to a buyer at the time of listing. Any listings that are for items on preorder will be removed.

Limited items that have a fast sell out time for initial retail release and are in high demand will not be accepetd to list on Zing Marketplace untill a fair time has passed. We do not condone the flipping of items for fast profit.

For retro gaming we’ll allow consoles, games and accessories from the following consoles:

Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Limited Edition consoles and Collector's Editions will be allowed to be listed on Zing Marketplace, but no standard consoles or games.

PC games, are allowed to be listed but no PC hardware or accessories.


Can I leave feedback?


We are always happy to receive positive and constructive feedback. Equally important are suggestions and indicators of how we can improve our service to you, our consumer, and the pop culture industry. To leave feedback, fill out our Feedback form.


Do I get a guarantee?


In principle, a statutory warranty applies to brand new products. Second-hand items do not have a warranty due to the nature of it being a second-hand item.

But in Australia, you may have rights under Australian Consumer Law for items that are deemed a Major or Minor fault. Please refer to the Australian Consumer Law website.


How do I return an item?


Returns under change of mind are not accepted.

As your item was bought second hand from a private pop culture seller, we would recommend speaking to the seller directly to see what could be done. Please be mindful that the seller is not obligated to return an item if you knew already the condition of said item.

Under Australian Consumer law, Businesses don’t have to give you a refund or exchange if you simply change your mind.


Can I organise local pick up?


Certain private pop culture sellers may advertise local pick up. We would recommend checking out the customers listing or check out to see if local pick up is available to save on postage cost.
